An approachable and fresh person from Rioja.
Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes are collected from the Sonsierra region of Rioja Alta and Alavesa, from the slopes of Alto Najerilla, Albelda de Iregua and Mocalvillo. There is a lot of iron in the soil of the nurseries. The vines used for wine are 40-70 years old and grow bush-like. After selective harvesting, the grapes are allowed to cold macerate, after which they spontaneously ferment below 25°C. The wine matures for 12 months in French, American and Eastern European oak barrels and 20 months in the bottle.
Use: With strong meat dishes or spicy root stews.
Description: The aromatic scent has ripe, abundant fruitiness and spiciness brought by oak. The taste is concentrated and poised and the tannins are abundant, but the whole is very tasty and refined.
