A cherry and fresh Sangiovese-based blend.

Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes are picked from vines with an average age of about 20 years from calcareous soil. The shelters were planted in 1982 and the vines are planted at a density of 5,000 vines per hectare. The grapes are separated from their stems and the wine ages in 1500 liter cement tanks with local yeasts. Malolactic fermentation continues until spring, after which the wine clears naturally. The wine matures for two years in 750-, 1000- and 1800-liter oak barrels. During bottling, the wine is not clarified or filtered.

Use: With tomato pastas and rustic meat dishes.

Description: Berry scent with dark cherry, violet and earthy oak spiciness. The dry taste is juicy, medium-bodied, the tannins are dusty and finely divided, and the whole is refreshed by the acidity of the youthful wine, which carries the taste of the wine for a long time.
