Les Chétillons - the first ever released vineyard wine from a grower producer.
Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are harvested by hand from a 2.5-hectare plot in the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the first vintage of which was released in 1971. The basic wine is aged in steel tanks and matures on the lees for 7 months. After the second fermentation, the wine matures in the bottle for 6-7 years before recorking. Dosage 4 g/l.
Use: Through a meal of seafood.
Description: The delicately sophisticated scent opens up in layers and you can smell both ripe lemon and roasted hazelnut. The dry taste is elegant, if intense, and its multidimensional aftertaste lasts forever.
