Viticcio

Viticcio's farm in Greve in Chianti, between Florence and Siena, has been making wine for over half a century. Established in 1964, the farm produces organic wines and olive oil under the Chianti Classico, Maremma and Bolgheri quality labels. Viticcio has a total of 120 hectares of land in these three areas.

Viticcio's background is influenced by the Biba family, whose aim is to produce classic quality wines that represent their origin with production methods that respect the environment. The farm's ideology essentially includes nurturing the diversity of nature: the vineyards have always been cultivated with the most organic methods possible, avoiding extra processing. Since 2003, eight hectares of vineyards have been biodynamically certified, and the entire production has been organically certified since 2013.

A handful of local wine production professionals work on the farm to support the Biba family. Modern technology supports traditional farming and winemaking methods. In addition to vines, Viticcio cultivates olive trees, the olives grown from which produce first-class olive oil.
