Carlo Boffa's earthy and balanced Barbaresco from farms heading east and west.
Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are collected by hand from different orchards from vines of different ages. The wine ages in steel tanks at a controlled temperature and matures for 15-18 months in 2500 liter oak barrels.
Use: Risottos, dark meat dishes and mature hard cheeses.
Description: The delicious scent is slightly perfumey and has strawberry, earthiness and a bit of tar. In the mouth, the wine is rich, fruity and juicy. The tannins are finely divided and together with the fair acidity makes the wine a classic example of the region. Sweet fruitiness can be found in the long aftertaste.
