A wonderfully elegant Brunello from a noteworthy producer.

Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are collected by hand from five different vineyards, the soils of which vary between calcareous clay, sand and shale clay. After the grapes are selected, the wine ages in cement tanks with maceration lasting 20-24 days. The wine matures in 26- and 50-hectoliter oak barrels of four different barrel manufacturers for 30-36 months before bottling.

Use: with ragù.

Description: The fragrance has a pleasant sophistication, such as dried berries, leather and earthiness. The medium-bodied taste is elegant with silky tannins and the aftertaste lingers.

The story of La Fiorita began in 1992, when Roberto Cipresso founded the farm together with his two partners. The very next year, the farm's first wines were produced, and after their release in 1998, each one was sold to the 3 Michelin star restaurant Enoteca Pinchiorri.
