Fray Leon

Fray Leon is a winery founded in 1996 in Chile's Cachapoal Valley. They own vineyards in several different regions of Chile and the farm produces a wide range of wines, from which Viinitie has selected pure varietal wines from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. The technically well-equipped and spacious cellar enables wine production to be as efficient as possible, and the farm has several different certificates, for example regarding a small carbon footprint and frugal energy consumption.

The oenologist Jorge Martínez is responsible for the winemaking. The grapes are picked both manually and mechanically depending on the location and topography of the vineyards. The grapes are selected using optical sorting tables and pressed with pneumatic presses. The cellars contain numerous French and American oak barrels of various sizes, and the farm also has its own comprehensive laboratory, which ensures the high quality of the wines.
