Sparklingly fresh and crisp Riesling from the village of Birkweiler.
Terroir, production method and maturation: Dr. Wehrheim's vineyards in the southern Palatinate enjoy a unique microclimate. The soil in the nurseries is partly made of different-colored sandstone, the shade of which varies depending on the iron oxide content, and partly made of cracked lime or limestone. The soils are especially suitable for growing riesling, pinot blanc and pinot gris varieties.
Manual harvesting, after which the grapes are screened one more time on a screening table. The grapes are pressed slowly and carefully. Fermentation in steel containers.
Use: Especially fish and shellfish, and various salads.
Description: A citrusy fresh, cheerfully acidic and well-balanced riesling with a hint of petrol and tropical fruit.
