Champagne Montbra

Champagne Montbra

We are wine wholesalers, but also winemakers. Montbra is the new Blanc de Noirs champagne in our range, the name of which pays tribute to the heartland of the dark grape varieties of the Champagne region, Montage de Reims. In its style, Montbra imitates the rich and fruity champagnes of the first half of the 20th century, and in its development, the winemakers' notes found in the archives of Chanoine Frerès have been used.

Chanoine Frères is the second oldest champagne house in Champagne, founded in 1730. For the last twenty years, the head winemaker of the estate has been Isabelle Tellier, who was the first female winemaker to be elected to such a role in the Champagne region. Before becoming the head winemaker at Chanoine Frères, Isabelle worked for several years at Champagne Boizel in various roles, increasing her knowledge and expertise in the preparation of various blends. According to Isabelle, Pinot Noir brings structure to the blends and Meunier gives the wine the necessary fruitiness. These two varieties thus complement each other and make Montbra a wonderful champagne in every way.
