Bread & Butter
Bread & Butter, located in Napa Valley, started in 2013 with the idea of bringing to the market a series of classic Californian wines that would be approachably uncomplicated, but at the same time convincing the consumer with their quality. The wines quickly gained national attention, and so did WX Brans Peter Buck, who founded WX Brands in 1999, became interested in wines. After negotiations, Bread & Butter became part of the WX Brands selection in 2017. Cabernet Sauvignon was produced in 2018 alongside the first released Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and the very next year, at the same time as the rosé wine of the series was released, the winery was selected for the list of the 100 best and fastest growing brands.
Bread & Butter's wines belongs to the thought model a stripped-down and clear look, uniformity and ease, and a desire for comfort. The wines are made from Californian grapes according to the archetypes, so that their drinker can trust the description of the corresponding label of the contents of the bottle. The grapes for the wines are collected from different parts of California, so that the wines made from them taste both the cooling morning mist of the Pacific Ocean and the warming ripeness of the sun. For now, all the wines in the series are classified under the California appellation, but in the future the selection will expand to include more specific and smaller sub-regions, such as Napa Valley, Russian River and Sonoma.
