Burgundy and Alsace meet in Austria's Kamptal as Loimer gets up to speed. A balanced encounter of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc in one glass.

Terroir, method of production and maturation: The grapes used for the wine are picked by hand from old orchards at the foot of the Manhartsberg. Chardonnay grows on loess soil, Pinot Gris on shale soil and Pinot Blanc in a mixture of loess and shale. The wine ferments spontaneously in 300- and 2500-liter oak barrels at 22-25°C, and matures in new and old oak barrels on the lees until bottling.

Use: For fried fish or creamy pasta.

Description: The scent has herbal notes and grapefruit and citrus fruits. Rich, but subtle mouthfeel with a bit of sweetness.

Austrian Fred Loimer is a wine producer striving for perfection, whose vineyards covering 80 hectares are mainly located in Langenlois in Kamptal. In addition to Kamptal, Loimer also has a few hectares of vineyards south of Vienna, in Gumpoldskirchen in the Thermenregion.
