A classic grüner from the village of Loiben.
Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are collected by hand from the sandy soil at an altitude of about 240 meters. The average age of the vines is 25 years and the planting density is 3500-4000 vines per hectare. The grapes are allowed to macerate for 1-4 hours before they are compressed pneumatically. The wine ages in 500-5000 liter steel tanks at 20-23°C. Malolactic fermentation is not allowed. The wine matures on the lees for 3 months without bâtonnage.
Use: As an accompaniment to light meat dishes and lake fish.
Description: A youthful slightly spicy and herbal scent. The dry taste is linear and acidic and you can distinguish white peach and a little pepper from the wine.
