Richly aromatic Pinot Noir from Austria's top producer.
Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes are picked by hand in 20 kg baskets from Langenlois orchards. 80% of the wine goes as whole bunches and 20% as whole grapes without added yeasts in 2200 liter oak barrels max. 30°C. The wine first matures for 12 months in 300-liter oak barrels, 15% of which are new. After that, the wine matures for another 6 months in 2200 liter old oak barrels.
Use: As a companion to venison fillet and cranberry sauce.
Description: The aromatic and rewarding scent is full of dark fruit and forest strawberry. The medium-bodied taste is spicy, the tannins are fine, but firm, and the fresh acidity balances the abundant fruitiness of the wine.
