Refined and mineral Albariño, whose closeness to the sea is clearly perceptible.

Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are harvested by hand from 40-90-year-old vines. The wine plots are located 100-1500m from the Atlantic Ocean in the villages of Meaño, Simes, Lores, Dena, Xil, Sanxenxo, Padrenda, Castrelo and Valiñas. Each plot is vinified separately and the grapes are pressed as whole bunches. 80% of the wine ferments spontaneously in small steel tanks and 20% in 500-5000 liter oak barrels. Before mixing, the wine matures in the same vessels on the lees for 7 months. No malolactic fermentation.

Use: For seafood, especially oysters.

Description: An extremely pure scent, the fruitiness of which is discreetly elegant. The dry taste is rich due to lees maturation and the wine's minerality and acidity are noticeable. Refined aftertaste.

Forjas del Salnés

Forjas del Salnés

For years, Rodrigo Méndez's family has cultivated grapes on the Atlantic coast in the village of Meaño, in the heart of the Salnés region. Although Rías Baixas is especially known for its white wines, it was Rodri's dream to produce red wines.
