Richly toasty champagne from a family producer in Côte des Bar.
Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are hand-picked from the producer's own orchards located in the villages of Voigny, Bar-sur-Aube, Arrentières, Argentolles, Rizaucourt, Rouvre-les-Vignes and Villenauxe-la-Grande. The vines are 25-30 years old. First fermentation in steel tanks. Before the second fermentation, 15-20% reserve wine is mixed with the wine. After the second fermentation, the wine ages for 48 months on the lees before recorking. Dosage 9 g/l.
Usage: In all situations where champagne is appropriate.
Description: A rich aroma with citrus and the toastiness of the lees. The dry taste is dominated by roastiness and the balanced dosage brings an easy approachability and roundness to the wine. Medium aftertaste.
