Pioneeriaseman tila on saanut muun muassa tarhatyöskentelyn tukena käytettyjen dronejen ja NFT-teknologiassa mukanaolonsa vuoksi. Dronejen avulla jyrkkien tarhojen köynnöksiä voidaan suojata ruiskuttamalla tarvittavia luonnonmukaisessa ja biodynaamisessa tarhatyöskentelyssä sallittuja aineksia heti sateiden jälkeen, jolloin tarhojen maaperä olisi vielä liian märkää koneilla liikuttavaksi. Dronejen avulla myös tarhojen maaperän liialliselta kompressiolta vältytään, mikä auttaa erityisesti jyrkkien tarhojen eroosiota vastaan ja auttaa maaperän biodiversiteetin ylläpitämisessä.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eClaus Burmeister on sekä tilan pääviinintekijä että toimitusjohtaja, joten kädet ovat vuorotellen upotettuina tarhojen maaperään, tankkien rypälemassaan, kuin paperikasoihin. Tilalla on hallussaan 38 hehtaaria viinitarhoja, joita on hoidettu luonnonmukaisin menetelmin jo vuodesta 2012 alkaen. Tarhat ovat tällä hetkellä konversiossa Demeterin sertifioimana biodynaamiseen viininviljelyyn. Tilalla tuotetaan jo omaa kompostia ja tarhatyöskentelyssä noudatetaan kuukalenteria. Tarhoilla kasvaa Rieslingin lisäksi burgundilaisia lajikkeita, Weissburgunderia, Grauburgunderia, Pinot Noiria sekä Blaufränkischiä. Rieslingiä Badenissa on viljelty jo vuodesta 1782 alkaen, jolloin Freiherr Göler von Ravensburg istutti ensimmäiset saamansa köynnökset linnansa kupeeseen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRein-joen itäpuolella sijaitsevat tilan tarhat nauttivat auringosta hieman Pfalzia enemmän. Tilan tarhojen maaperä on erittäin vanhaa, jopa 160-220 miljoonan vuoden ikäistä kalkkikiveä, siinä missä muualla Badenissa tarhoilta löytyy pääasiassa lössiä ja vulkaanista maata. Sadonkorjuu tehdään valikoiden käsin, ja viinit käyvät luonnollisilla hiivakannoillaan. Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes are carefully picked by hand from the orchards of Kraichgau in Sulzfeld. The grapes are de-stemmed during fermentation and maceration. Malolactic fermentation and maturation takes place in large oak barrels.
