A late bottled vintage port wine from a traditional family producer, just released in 2015.
Terroir, method of production and maturation: 40-60 year old vines grow on a soil consisting of slate. The grapes were harvested by hand in 30 kg baskets. This was followed by a few days of temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration. Fermentation was stopped by adding grape juice to the wine. 4 years aging in oak barrels, after which the wine was bottled in 2018 without filtering.
Use: As an accompaniment to soft cheeses or with chocolate desserts.
Description: The scent has wild berries, spiciness and violets. Full, long and fruity taste.
