Classic Wachau riesling made from the orchards of Loiben village.
Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes are collected by hand from the orchards of the sandy soil of the village of Loiben. The average age of the vines is 25 years and the planting density is 5000-6000 vines per hectare. The grapes are allowed to macerate for 1-4 hours before they are compressed pneumatically. The wine ages in 500-4500 liter steel tanks and oak containers at 23-26°C. Malolactic fermentation is not allowed. The wine matures on the lees for 3 months without bâtonnage.
Use: As a companion to fried fish and steamed mussels.
Description: The fruity scent has plenty of citrus. Dry taste with juicy fruitiness, minerality and noticeable acidity.
