Finca Dinamia Eng
Situated in Mendoza’s south in San Rafael, Finca Dinamia is the province’s first biodynamic vineyard. The winery appreciates the country’s national grape variety and so far only makes red and rosé wine from Malbec.
Finca Dinamia has 25 ha of lands of which 14 ha are vineyards. The property puts effort into sustainable development and interaction with the land, plants and animals. The part of the property not given over to Malbec is dedicated to various fruit bearing trees and cattle farming.
Finca Dinamia is run by Alejandro Bianchi together with his team. Alejandro found his way into wine through following his grandfather’s footsteps who began working with wine in Argentina in 1928. Alejandro’s ideology is rooted in biodynamic agriculture and in hard manual work in the vineyards – the fruit of the labour is grapes of great health and concentration.
The San Rafael region is well suited to growing vines. The wineries there benefit from significant daily temperature differences and of an overall climate cooler than that in Mendoza’s central valley. The vines get enough water from the occasional rains and the melt-water flowing down from the Andes. The rocky soils are very permeable and sandy in addition to which Finca Dinamia benefits from the close by Rio Diamante River and its ground water reserves.
