The incredibly tasty Vermentino from VignaLuce from Tuscany.

Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes were picked by hand at the beginning of September. The stems were removed, the grapes were crushed and pressed lightly. The wine was aged at 16°C in cement tanks and the lees were mixed weekly for 3 months. The wine was lightly clarified with bentonite, cold-stabilized and bottled in February after filtration.

Use: Versatile wine both for enjoying as is and for light Italian pastas.

Description: The fruity scent has flowers and white peach. The dry taste is grapefruity and refreshingly acidic. Sake maturation brings nuance, richness and mouthfeel to the taste.

VignaLuce is a project started by the skilled oenologist Franco Calini in 1990 in Maremma, southwestern Tuscany. Formerly known as Cantina di Albarese, the farms are located a stone's throw from the medieval village of Scansano and cover an area of 70 hectares near the Monte Amiata mountain.
