A densely delicious red wine from the La Solana vineyard produced by 80-150-year-old vines.
Terroir, production method and maturation: The Valle de la Orotava wine region is located in the northern part of the island of Tenerife. The surface soil of the La Solana vineyard is clay, with volcanic rock underneath. The shelter is located 350-450 meters above sea level and the vines are 80-150 years old. The grapes are picked by hand in 16 kg boxes. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in open temperature-controlled concrete tanks and malolactic fermentation in neutral French 500-liter oak barrels. The wine matures in the same barrels for 14 months. The wine is unfiltered.
Use: As a companion to bresaola, parmesan and arugula.
Serving temperature: 16-18 °C
Description: A deep intense scent with black pepper and earthiness. The dark cherry flavor is medium-bodied and dense, promising the wine a long life.
