Malkoa - tear or free-flowing juice in Basque.

Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes are collected from the oldest vineyard next to the winery in 20 kg baskets. The garden was planted in 1995 and its soil consists of clay and sand. After sorting, they are gently pressed and used for wine at around 13–15°C. The wine matures for a long time on the lees in an egg-shaped cement vessel.

Use: As a companion to rich fish and seafood dishes.

Description: A sophisticated aroma with a hint of honey. Dry and rich mouthfeel with tension and concentration brought by acidity. Long aftertaste.



The wine plots of Astobiza, which comes from the cool Basque country of northern Spain, are located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, in Álava. The farm got its name from the nearby mountains.
