Vieux Château Certan's powerful second vintage wine in a magnum.
Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are harvested by hand from orchards covering 14 hectares, where the vines are 10-25 years old. The soil in the nurseries consists of gravel, clay and sand. Merlot was around 32°C and Cabernet Sauvignon around 28°C in large traditional oak barrels. Fermentation and maceration lasted for 21-28 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was blended and aged in small French oak barrels for about 18 months before bottling. 70% of the barrels were new.
Use: As a companion to elegant meat dishes.
Description: The scent is intense and has sophistication, such as dried fruit and a hint of leather. The taste is rich and multidimensional, and the tannins are pleasantly ripe.
