An elegant Gamay made from old vines by a representative of the new generation of Beaujolais.

Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes come from the north-west side of the Morgoni village, from cool climate orchards, which are located at a fairly high altitude and whose soil is granite. The shelters are 80 years old. Spontaneous fermentation in large oak foudres. Natural malolactic fermentation and maturation in oak barrels.

Usage: With veal thymus and green salad.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C

Description: The aroma has spiciness brought by oak, cinnamon and cloves, as well as sour berry and wild raspberry. The medium-bodied taste is supported by plenty of acidity, the texture is very refined and the whole is elegant.

The Morgon area in Beaujolais is particularly known for its rugged soil, which is a mixture of granite, slate and volcanic rock. Compared to other Beaujolais Cru villages, Morgon's soil contains a lot of iron, which makes the wines particularly powerful.
