Long-lasting pinot noir of the top vineyard.
Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are harvested by hand from the Grosses Gewächs plot of Im Sonnenschein, where Rebholz cultivates over 4 hectares of Pinot Noir. The average age of the grapes is over 60 years. Some of the grapes ferment as whole bunches and the fermentation takes place spontaneously in steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine matures in oak barrels for two years.
Use: with Beef Wellington and mushroom sauce.
Description: Deep aroma with ripe forest strawberry, spiciness and roast. The mouth-filling fruity taste is richly acidic and refined in terms of tannins, although a little drying. Very long aftertaste.
