Four elements: one vineyard, one grape variety, one vintage and one vision.

Terroir, Method of Preparation and Maturation: The grapes are sourced from the 0.31 hectare, south-facing vineyard of La Perthe in the village of Ludes, Montagne de Reims. The soil of the vineyard is a mixture of sand and clay, the location is windy, and the grapes ripen quite late. The vines were planted in 1983. The base wine is vinified in 600-liter oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation is prevented. The wine undergoes a second fermentation using the traditional champagne method, after which it matures on the lees for 3.5 years under a natural cork. Dosage 3g/l, re-cap in July 2020.

Use: With oven-roasted whole organic chicken and savoy cabbage salad.

Description: Strong aroma with both red apple and brioche. The taste is very dry and rich, the bubbles are small and elegant. Long aftertaste.

Champagne Huré Frères

Champagne Huré Frères

The Huré Frères champagne house is located in Ludes, in the eastern parts of the Montagne de Reims, where three brothers cultivate 10 hectares of vineyards. Since the farms have three different owners, the label NM refers to the négociant manipulant business, even though it is practically a small grower champagne estate.
