A dark berry red wine from the village of Cairanne in the Southern Rhône.

Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes grow on calcareous clay soil. The wine is made using traditional methods. 48 hours of cold maceration before fermentation, which lasts for 18 days. Malolactic fermentation also takes place with skins. The wine matures in cement tanks on the lees and is bottled without the addition of sulfur dioxide.

Use: With spicy meat dishes such as Chili con Carne.

Description: A fresh scent with blackcurrant, blackberry and a bit of spiciness. The taste is dry and openly fruity, the tannins of the wine are very loose and the drinkability is otherwise just right.
