A columnar wine from Robertson's picturesque wine valley that expresses itself wonderfully in its growing environment.
Terroir, method of production and maturation: Palstava wine, the grapes of which are hand-picked from the western slope above the embankment of the River Breede. The soil on the slope consists of calcareous clay mixed with sand. Winemaking relies heavily on organic, minimal intervention methods and the wines are fermented with the help of wild yeasts, without the addition of enzymes. The wine matures in old French oak for 14 months before bottling.
Use: Classic steak wine. It goes especially well with beef, lamb and game. Try it especially with deer shake.
Description: The scent has mint, plum and blackcurrant. In the mouth, the wine is rich and lusciously fruity. The taste is supported by strong tannins.
