Freesi Basque rose from white and red local varieties.
Terroir, production method and ripening: The white grapes are collected by hand in 20 kg baskets from the orchards next to the winery, and the red grapes from the orchard located a little further away. After sorting, the white bunches are gently pressed and the red grapes are allowed to macerate for about a day with their skins. After this, the white and red grapes ferment together in steel tanks at around 13–15°C. The wine matures on the lees for a few months before bottling.
Use: As it is on a sunny summer day or with fresh salads and seafood.
Description: The scent is floral and strawberry. The dry taste is clean and refreshed by a very noticeable acidity and a small amount of carbon dioxide. The acidity lingers for a long time and makes this rosé wine very enjoyable.
